Job Description
Kendrick Recruitment is now seeking an experienced Accountant / Assistant Finance Manager for a renowned luxury safari lodge located in Kruger National Park. This role is ideal for a finance professional who is passionate about numbers highly organized and experienced in the hospitality industry. The successful candidate will support the finance department in managing daytoday financial operations and ensuring compliance with internal controls.
Minimum Requirements
Matric/Grade 12 or equivalent
Tertiary qualification in Finance Accounting or a related field
Minimum of 4 years experience as an Accountant or in a similar role
Previous experience in a hospitality finance environment is highly advantageous
Proficient in SAGE Cloud accounting package
Working knowledge of Apex and Pluspoint systems beneficial
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
High level of confidentiality and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
Manage daily finance operations and administration
Accurate daily capturing of financial data
Process and reconcile cash books
Reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis
Assist in preparation and understanding of financial statements
Manage weekly and monthly stock and inventory controls
Handle accounts receivable and accounts payable functions
Support strong corporate governance practices and enforce internal financial controls
