Summary of Position
The principal responsibility for the per diem oncologynurse in the
Tasks will include assistance in completing paperwork related toFMLA Disability and specialty medications andassist the triage nurse in the coordination of outpatient services social services and hospice services.The nurse will be available to assist with patients care givers or family members as requested by clinicians.
The nurse will practice according to ANA and ONS standards of care.
Specific Clinical Responsibilities
The per diem oncology nursewill collaborate with the Oncology Nurse Lead and triage nurse as needed to assistpatients in the outpatient setting and ensure optimal clinical management.. Duties include reinforcement of patient teaching assisting with prescription questions and refills providing symptom management and completion of paper work related to the oncology needs of the patient.

Reports directly to the Oncology Nurse Lead in collaboration with
QUALIFICATIONS: Licensure as a RN in the Commonwealth of MA required
23 years experience in oncology nursing required
Experience in outpatient/ambulatory oncology nursing preferred
Knowledge and experience in medical oncology nursing required
