Job Description
St. Philip Neri School is seeking a parttime Spanish teacher. The Spanish teachers responsibilities include preparing lessons and providing developmentally appropriate instruction on the Spanish language and culture. She/he should also be able to supervise lessons to ensure that learners interact in a supportive and respectful manner. The teacher would need to be comfortable with technology integration utilizing Chromebook and GSuite applications. The Spanish Teacher will instruct students on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday.
Essential Functions
- Provides gradeappropriate instructional Spanish program for students.
- Maintains an attractive organized and engaging learning environment.
- Develops lesson plans with clear objectives in line with the Archdiocesan Curriculum.
- Provides gradeappropriate extended or enrichment opportunities.
- Maintains accurate and complete records of students progress and development.
- Provides regular and consistent communication with parents students staff and administration
- Performs assigned duties when needed for the supervision of students before during or after school including lunch duties recess duties dismissal duties detention and any other duties assigned by the administration.
- Participates in faculty meetings school committees and inservice learning opportunities.
Position Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in education or higher
- Current MSDE certification or able to obtain certification within two years
- Prior successful teaching experience grade level education
- Knowledge of the Catholic faith preferred but not required.
- Must be comfortable with technology to include GSuite Google Classroom Interactive projectors etc.
