Job Description
Country Parkway ElementarySchool
Food Service Helper 20 hours/week 4 hrs./day: Times 9:45 am 1:45pm)
10 months per year
Duties:
- Prepares and portions daily school menu production items as specified by unit manager.
- Assists with pots and pans general kitchen clean up serving food to students and warewashing.
- Responsible for maintaining clean and sanitary work areas.
- Acts as cashier.
- May be assigned to any and all aspects of school food service operations.
- Prepares and cooks soups pizza meats vegetables
- Makes salads and sandwiches and a variety of other foods
- May serve prepared meals from the steam table.
- Helps manager with inventory and may assist in food ordering
Requirements:
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
- Good organizational skills.
- Dependability.
- Good people skills.
- Good physical condition.
- Team player.
- Patient with children.
- Basic math skills.
- Some food preparation experience preferred but not required.
