The Tukwila Community Center is seeking to hire a temporary seasonalYouth/Teen Summer Recreation Site Supervisor.TheYouth/Teen Summer Recreation Site Supervisor will assist with implementation of community wide special events assist with direct supervision of recreation leaders and volunteers related to special events as well as assist with event promotion and marketing.

The Tukwila Community Center boasts beautiful meeting rooms classrooms banquet facilities and a commercial kitchen which are available for rental. The center is in a peaceful setting along the Duwamish River. Ithosts several activities and resources for seniors adults teens and young children. This includes fitness recreation and wellness programs as well as a preschool.

- Safeguards program staff and participants and provides for a clean and safe working environment.
- Completes and maintains proper forms reports and information for recreation staff.
- Enforces and assists staff in enforcing facility equipment and program rules and regulations taking appropriate corrective action when necessary.
- Assist staff with planning scheduling and organizing of various programs events and activities.
- Other duties may vary based on specific responsibilities for each position.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work with minimum or no supervision;
- Working knowledge of hazards and safety practices;
- Ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing;
- Ability to establish and maintain positive and effective working relationships with program staff participants volunteers parents and the general public;
- Physical ability sufficient to perform the essential functions of the position.
Education Experience and Other Requirements
Minimum Qualifications:
(A) Possess a High School Diploma or G.E.D.;
(B) Minimum of 18 years old;
(C) Collegelevel coursework in Recreation Education or related field (preferred);
(D) Minimum of twoyears experience in a similar work environment of which at least 6months was in a supervisory role.
Special Requirements:
Must possess a valid Drivers License/ID. Must be physically capable of assisting and participating in physical activities. Maintain current CPR/First Aid certifications or the ability to obtain prior to employment.
