Job Description
Contributing Writer (New York)
EurasiaGroup seeks a motivated and experienced journalist to support the expansion of itsnewsletter Signal. This role will involve working with the editor and deputy editorof Signal to plan and develop weekly written content focused on internationalpolitics. The contributing writer will be expected to provide researchassistance and produce original features that will appear in each weeksnewsletter. The ideal candidate should have a strong grounding in internationalrelations and substantial experience as a professional journalist 35 years).This position presents the opportunity to contribute to an exciting fastgrowingmedia venture centered around the analysis and explanation of international politics.
Responsibilities:
Conducting independent research intoongoing international storiesProviding editorial support to theeditor and deputy editor
Developing new features that willappear on a regular basis
Thinking creatively about thegeneration of new original content
Qualifications:
Atleast 3 years of professional journalistic experience covering internationalnewsStrongacademic grounding in international politics and experience as an editorrequired
Regionalexpertise and foreign language proficiency preferred
Abilityto communicate on camera a plus
