An international BESS company is seeking a Lead Commissioning Engineer.
Duties & Responsibilities
Purpose of the Role: As a Lead Commissioning Engineer specializing in Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) you will oversee the installation testing commissioning of BESS projects. Additionally you will lead and manage a team of Commissioning Engineers to ensure the successful of these projects. Your role will encompass providing technical expertise guidance and coordination to team members collaborating with project stakeholders and upholding the highest quality standards in commissioning activities. You will be an integral part of the project team contributing to the deployment of renewable energy solutions and supporting South Africas transition to a sustainable energy future.
Essential Requirements:
Bachelors Degree or BTech Degree in Electrical or Mechatronics.
Postgraduate Diploma is advantageous.
35 years of experience in commissioning.
BESS knowledge.
Knowledge of commercial inverters systems.
Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams.
Technical expertise in MS Office and commissioning database systems.
The Lead Commissioning Engineers role is critical to ensuring that complex systems and projects are brought to life successfully from static installations to fully operational systems as this is a crucial phase where mistakes can be costly but your expertise will ensure a smooth transition.
