Job Description

We have an exciting role on offer within our Finance Service as a Commissioning Assistant.

About Us

The Strategic Commissioning and Procurement Team sits within the Finance Directorate but supports directs and guides all Directorates across the Council.

The successful candidate will be a key part of the team and should be passionate about ensuring high quality service provision with a real focus on improving outcomes for the residents of Middlesbrough.

The successful candidate will work with Providers of services alongside other key partners and stakeholders therefore the ability to build strong trusted and effective relationships is essential to this role. Candidates should be creative and solution focused and be able to demonstrate good IT and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Some knowledge or awareness of social care services would be advantageous.

The post is eligible for blended working with the main office location - Fountain Court our newly renovated modern office space. Please note this is a fixed term contract until 19th May 2026.
