Job Description

POSITION:

10 Month Registrar and Family Liaison Student Services at ESC


WORK DAYS: Monday through Friday.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESThe Registrar and Family Liaison Student Servicess primary responsibilities are:

1 Registering Students in the District

2 Identifying registering and offering transition support for newcomer students and families attending different meetings and other office and advocacyrelated responsibilities.

3 Interprets for school/parent conversations over the phone as needed and at meetings and Translates documents as needed.

4 Supports the Student Services Department with different tasks.

5 Other duties as assigned.


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bilingual Required (English plus a Second Language)
  • High School Diploma required. 2 years or more postsecondary education desired
  • Strong oral and written communication skills with parents students and teachers
  • Computer experience working with Word and Excel
  • Ability to work with students from a diverse background
  • Selfstarter
  • Ability to multitask
  • Experience working in a team atmosphere
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Must have reliable transportation

WORKING CONDITIONS:
While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently exposed to indoor and outdoor conditions. While performing the duties of this job the employee is required to frequently walk stoop bend and sit. The noise level in the work environment ranges from mild to loud.

Normal office physical demands. May periodically have moderate physical demands and may be required to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Generally the employee works inside.

Will perform other duties as may be assigned by the superintendent or designee necessary and appropriate to the achievement of the program and/or District goals and objectives.
