Job Description
Description: The Solution Design team is responsible for designing and implementing customized solutions for our clients in global supply chain management customer relationship management online platforms financial services and much more. We understand our unique client business models and design solutions in close cooperation with them and then subsequently implement the solution. In order to support our growth targets we are looking for a strong Business Development Project Managerwho can drive critical projects with minimal supervision. This individual will bring a solid level of logistics knowledge and can serve as the teams Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the diverse array of components that make up our overall HighTech Supply Chain Management (SCM) landscape.
General Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handle large complex project management across the NA business
- Work in close cooperation with Business development team to acquire new customers
- Understand client requirements and transform them into project plans
- Partner in the design of global supply chain management solutions
- Coordinate project initiatives across different departments and distribution centers
- Manage RFP response process endtoend (including proposal development and clients presentations)
- Develop P&L and pricing endtoend
- Develop financial analysis and simulation of the designed solution
- Prepare proposals and presentations
- Deliver presentations and effectively articulate pros and cons facts and figures and broad business topics to management employees peers vendors and clients
- Provide sales support and partnership in the identification of opportunities for new solutions and expansion into new industries
- Contribute to gross margin growth
Knowledge Skills and Abilities;
- Strong knowledge of Supply Chain Management
- Experience of working with companies in Hightech and Consumer Products industries
- Experience of managing RFPs (Request for Proposal)
- Understanding of warehousing transportation customs clearance fundamentals
- Strong analytical skills strategic thinking
- Excellent organizational skills and exceptional follow through discipline
- Ability to transfer best practice business process and procedure globally
- Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability to effectively communicate with global stakeholders across business units at all levels as well as external client communications at all levels
- Strong leadership skills and exceptional customer service focus
- Strong team player who can partner effectively with all levels of our employee and management team
- High degree of intercultural affinity because we are a global company
- Operates as an independent proactive motivated selfstarter who remains focused on task and delivering results in timely manner
- Ability and willingness to travel extensively as needed
- Understands business modeling
- Excellent MS office/iWork skills
- Minimum 3 years experience in project management and SCM
Education/Experience:
- BS/BA in Supply Chain Management economics or Business Administration preferred
