Job Description
- Bachelors degree required
- 35 years related experience required. Experience in the following areas is preferred:
- Healthcare environment; understanding of clinical and revenue cycle applications and business processes
- Information Systems experience
- Understanding of data analysisanalyticsreport writing databases data warehousing applications and related concepts/technologies
- 35 years experience in an information solution development environment
- Experience leading and developing analytics solutions utilizing databases data models and related technologies
- Experience with Healthcare software like Meditech Medilinks Epic etc.
- Experience with SQL Server Visual Studio MS Access Crystal Reports TransactSQL MS Excel
- Able to selfmanage based on assigned tasks assuming full ownership of overall outcomes from start to finish. Strong demonstrable analytical/problem solving skills and detail oriented.
- Able to prioritize and simultaneously work on multiple tasks and projects.
- Effectively work with individuals from all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills;
- Available oncall during offhours.
- Strong understanding of common office automation applications (ex. MS Office) required.
General office environment. Workingconditions conducive to a fast paced environment. Travel betweenSpaulding Hospital sites required.

Under the direction of the Team Lead the primary responsibilities of the Project Specialist will be to focus on the development of information solutions reports & analytics to meet the information needs of the organization and to cultivate collaborative relationships with business users and application teams to ensure our organizations information & reporting needs are met.
In addition s/he will:
promote electronic systems adoption in support of clinical and revenue cycle operations research and quality improvement
support stakeholders by eliciting and clarifying business requirements analyzing data and developing solutions
Prioritize and manage queue of analytics requests utilizing governance where needed/appropriate
manage smallmedium projects
The incumbent must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to manage data and applications independently accurately and effectively with attention to patient privacy and detail. To perform these activities requires understanding of the flow of data through complex architectures performing thorough data and systems analysis and an appreciation for the consequences that erroneous data can have on patient care and business decisionmaking.
- Design develop validate and implement information solutions to meet organizations needs.
- Collaborate with requestors leadership applications and technical staff to develop and implement solutions
- Deliver quality resolution to defects and production breakfixes for the information solutions we develop and support.
- Perform data analysis as needed to deliver information solutions
- Provide build/effort resource estimates for projects & initiatives.
- Communicate with leaders IT Staff and customers effectively
- Serve as key liaison and collaborator with application teams and/or other operational or business units
- Mentor juniorlevel staff in areas of information development
- Plan manage and oversee projects utilizing recognized project management techniques and methodology including.
- Demonstrate complete comfort facilitating group projects towards a successful completion of goals.
- Facilitate decision making with users and administrative leadership in multiple venues and environments.
- Establish and create a positive project team environment through leadership and mentoring.
- Conduct meetings and presentations independently including major departmental meetings user meetings training sessions etc.
- Identify complex problems their probable causes their impact on operations report them appropriately and offer possible solutions and decide on the optimal course of action; able to independently and /or collaboratively bring problems to complete resolution.
- Provide user support which includes but is not limited to direct user support during posted support hours executing a backup plan for system down times and reporting/responding to user issues. Perform super user training and be available to assist as needed in system implementations.
- Create test scenarios and test scripts and execute testing in an integrated environment while incorporating quality management concepts.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Clinical and Revenue Cycle workflow and able to incorporate into design and implementation of analytics solutions.
- Serve as an active member of departmental and hospital committees and project teams as needed.
- Partners/Spaulding IS and the hospital community at large.
- Provide quality customer service and serve as an exemplary representative of Partners/Spaulding Information Systems; ongoing communication feedback and followthrough with customers and peers are essential.
- Stay current with industry trends as they related to job responsibilities; able to incorporate impact of industry trends into how systems are designed tested implemented and supported.
