French Immersion Recruitment
Greater St. Albert Catholic Schools is located on the original lands of the Cree those of Treaty 6 and on the homeland of the Mtis nation. Position: Greater St. Albert Catholic School is looking for French Immersion teachers to fill potential vacancies in the Division. These positions could be at both the elementary and junior/senior high levels.
Qualifications & Duties:
- Committed to being a model and witness to Christcentered education values and beliefs.
- Apply foundational knowledge about First Nations Mtis and Inuit for the benefit of all students and support the Divisions goals towards advancing Truth and Reconciliation.
- Possess a Bachelor of Education and valid Alberta Teaching Certificate.
- College Certificate in Catholic Education is considered an asset.
- Experience and/or specialization in French Immersion.
- Fluently bilingual in French and English in order to teach in French and communicate with parents in English.
- Experience with the implementation of Individual Program Plans.
- Computer literacy (Macintosh) would be an asset.
- Committed to working collaboratively with a team.
- Willingness to be an active collaborator on a vibrant school staff team and program.
- Enthusiasm and strong interpersonal skills.
