Colleague Services and Compliance Advisor
Hybrid working from our office at One Strawberry Lane Newcastle Upon Tyne (or other office location depending on your base) and from home
PermanentFull Time 37.5 hours per week)
Salary circa 28000 per annum plus Brilliant Benefits and Health cash plan!

We have an exciting opportunity to join our awesome HRD team in the role of Colleague Services and Compliance Advisor supporting us to provide brilliant compliance advice reducing risks and protecting our reputation!
This is an important role supporting Tracey and the Colleague Services team to keep Home Group compliant.Youll be our go to person for providing credible advice when it comes to compliance in relation to DBS Visas and Sponsorship. You will use technology and systems to produce regular reporting analysis and providing data insights that inform business decisions on compliance driving continuous improvement.Youll manage the delivery of our sponsorship offering through to DBS.

Our manager is Tracey who has been with home group for 15 years.There are 7of us in the team and we dont just love to support our customers were there for each other too!
What youll do
- Working collaboratively with key stakeholders managers colleagues and candidates to provide reliable and credible advice on compliance requirements policies and legislation using data and insights to inform and guide.
- Ensuring we are compliant across Sponsorship and UKVI Regulations DBS frameworks and qualifying criteria Safe Staffing and Ofsted regulations. Youll ensure we have accurate records a wellmaintained sponsorship licence and meet our reporting and sponsorship duties.
- Producing insightful reports on colleague data (including DBS and sponsorship compliance) with valuable metrics that inform and influence key business decisions.Youll ensure our colleague and compliance data is accurate to keep us compliant at all times.
- Providing an outstanding colleague experience across all touch points of each colleagues journey at Home Group working collaboratively (as part of our wider HRD team) to deliver an exceptional service.
- Ensuring we have accurate structure build in our HR Information Systems (Oracle) required for payroll costing and recruitment purposes with appropriate governance and controls.

What youll bring
- Experience of using HR Information Systems including Microsoft and Sharepoint.Youre analytical able to use Excel and other tools to analyse data and produce reports that provide insights that inform business decisions.
- Knowledge of UK Employment Law Sponsorship DBS safe staffing and Ofsted Regulations.A foundation understanding and experience is required leading to indepth as you progress as a subject matter expert.
- Understanding and can interpret relevant HR policies processes and Employment legislation and explain them clearly to candidates colleagues and managers.
- Strong collaboration skills working with your team to not only meet but exceed compliance targets.
- Youll be a selfstarter with an eye for detail have creative spark to drive improvements and the confidence to work intuitively collaboratively.

Job details
- Youll be based at our office at One Strawberry Lane in Newcastle.
- This is a fulltime job 37.5 hours per week and we work Monday to Friday.
- This is a hybrid role and youll spend a minimum of 2 days a week in our office which is every Tuesday with the rest of the People team with flexibility over your second office day. The rest of the time you can work from home if you wish.
- Youll manage your own diary. If you need a break to take delivery of your new fridge or take a longer lunch for a haircut you can use your flexi time to manage that!
