Interim Healthcare is seeking Sonographers for local opportunities!
Pay: Up to $85/hr depending on experience!
Location: Temporary assignments available at various clinical/hospital settings throughout the Minneapolis/St. Paul MN metro areas.
Schedule: FullTime PartTime and Per Diem opportunities available.

Position Summary:
The Medical Sonographer works in a clinical or hospital setting providing diagnostic imaging services to patients through the use of ultrasound technology. The role involves preparing patients for procedures operating ultrasound equipment capturing highquality images and providing technical support for accurate diagnosis. The sonographer must be skilled in assessing and interpreting images maintaining equipment and ensuring patient comfort and safety during procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing Ultrasound Exams: Operating ultrasound machines to capture images of organs tissues and blood flow. This includes abdominal pelvic obstetric and other specialized scans (such as cardiac musculoskeletal or vascular ultrasound).
Patient Preparation: Preparing patients for the procedure by explaining the process ensuring comfort and positioning them appropriately on the examination table.
Obtaining HighQuality Images: Using appropriate techniques and positioning to obtain clear and diagnosticquality images of the targeted area.
Interpreting Initial Results: In some cases the sonographer may analyze the ultrasound images to identify abnormalities or other relevant conditions (though a physician or radiologist will typically provide the final diagnosis).
Maintaining Equipment: Ensuring that ultrasound equipment is properly maintained calibrated and cleaned. Troubleshooting minor issues with the machines is also a part of the role.
Documenting and Reporting: Accurately documenting patient information examination details and any relevant findings. The images and data are often stored digitally and detailed reports are generated for the physicians review.
Patient Interaction: Providing care and comfort during the procedure including explaining the procedure answering any questions and addressing concerns.
Collaboration with Medical Team: Working closely with radiologists obstetricians cardiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure proper diagnosis and care planning.
Maintaining Confidentiality: Ensuring patient information and medical records are kept confidential and handled according to legal and ethical standards.
Adhering to Safety Standards: Following all hospital or clinic protocols safety guidelines and infection control practices to ensure both patient and personal safety during procedures.
