Job Description

Georgia Elementary & Middle School is seeking a Math Specialist for 6th through 8th grade. The math specialist will serve as part of a collaborative and dynamic teacher leader team. The math specialist will support teachers and students by: collaborating with classroom teachers and special educators to provide direct targeted instruction based on individual student needs coteaching and modeling best practices and effective math strategies and coplanning rigorous and engaging lessons to increase universal access.The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of how to use formative and summative data to drive targeted instruction monitor student growth and adapt instructional approaches to ensure students success. Responsibilities:*Ensure equitable and inclusive educational opportunities for all students.*Be willing to collaborate learn and grow within a team. *Knowledge of research based best practices in math.*Ability to work effectively with individual and small groups of students who need targeted intervention.*Provide and progress monitor targeted interventions based on changing student needs.*Build strong collaborative relationships with students colleagues and parents. *Effectively communicate with a variety of constituents including students faculty administrators parents and the broader school community.*Reflect upon their practice and data to continue to grow professionally.
