Job Description
POSITION: ESOL Tutor Part Time
QUALIFICATIONS:
- NH ESOL teacher certification or proof of eligibility for NH certification
- Bachelors degree or higher
- Experience preferred but not required
REPORTS TO:Director of Special Services and Building Principal(s)
JOB GOAL:The ESOL Teacher will provide instruction for the purposes of developing students ability to effectively perform courses of study in English and acquire the English language.
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:
1 Create an environment of respect and rapport that establishes a culture of learning and coordinate with educator teams to enhance established practices and school climate.
2 Plans organizes and provides support and/or instruction in collaboration with classroom teachers to allow English learners access to the districts instructional programs.
3 Administers academic and language assessments for the purpose of evaluating each students progress in meeting academic learning targets and progress in language acquisition.
3 Maintains complete and accurate records of students progress and evidence of growth.
4 Understands and complies with all district policies rules and regulations including those regarding English learners and advocates for the program needs of the English learner.
5 Performs such other and not specifically enumerated duties as may be requested by the principal(s) and/ or Director of Special Services
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT and EVALUATION: Compensation and evaluation are in accordance with Bartlett District policies including Noncontracted personnel policy.
