Reliability and Functional Safety Engineers
PartTime & FullTime Contract Roles Available Inside IR35
Location: Manchester
Security Clearance: Candidates must be eligible for SC clearance and hold British nationality.
Are you a Senior Reliability and Functional Safety Engineer looking for a flexible contract opportunity We are supporting a leading engineering consultancy in their search for skilled professionals to deliver critical safety and reliability expertise on a longterm national infrastructure project in the nuclear sector.
This contract offers flexibility with both fulltime and parttime opportunities available.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct riskbased reliability and functional safety assessments for complex engineering systems.
- Apply methodologies such as FMEA FTA RBD HAZID HAZOP and LOPA.
- Implement and assess ReliabilityCentred Maintenance (RCM) Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA) and Level of Repair Analysis (LoRA).
- Engage with crossfunctional stakeholders to ensure dependability objectives are met.
- Provide technical leadership reviewing team outputs and mentoring junior engineers.
- Deliver highquality reports and present findings to technical and nontechnical audiences.
What Were Looking For
- A degree in engineering mathematics or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in reliability maintainability and functional safety analysis.
- Strong knowledge of engineering risk assessment techniques and industry standards.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent communication skills with a track record of producing highquality reports.
- Experience in the nuclear aerospace defence or other safetycritical industries is highly desirable.
- SC Clearance eligibility is essential.
