MalaceHR is seeking a Senior Reliability Engineer to support strategic asset management and reliability engineering initiatives across a diverse portfolio of facilities and infrastructure assets. This role is critical in improving asset performance lifecycle management and maintenance effectiveness while identifying opportunities to enhance system reliability and minimize operational risks.
This position serves as a technical subject matter expert driving the implementation of reliability-centered maintenance strategies and asset management processes. It offers opportunities for growth certification and career development in a highly collaborative environment.
Support the deployment of strategic asset management roadmaps in collaboration with engineering leads.
Integrate data from BAS fault detection systems maintenance programs and capital planning tools to create life-cycle assessments and repair/replacement strategies.
Conduct audits to ensure safety compliance maintenance effectiveness cost savings and energy conservation.
Coordinate cross-functional teams and third-party resources to support asset management initiatives.
Develop review and continuously optimize preventive maintenance (PM) tasks.
Rank asset criticality using Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies.
Conduct reliability studies and root cause failure analysis (RCFA).
Propose cost-effective solutions and risk mitigation strategies for reliability improvements.
Investigate and implement new technologies to enhance equipment uptime and efficiency.
Apply understanding of rotating equipment (pumps motors conveyors etc.) from both mechanical and electrical perspectives.
Implement Predictive Testing and Inspection (PT&I) and Condition-Based Maintenance (CbM) programs.
Conduct equipment condition assessments and eliminate recurring failures.
Utilize technologies such as vibration analysis infrared thermography ultrasound oil analysis and motor current diagnostics.
Maintain accurate records within the CMMS including asset specs BOMs and failure history.
Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for equipment reliability and maintenance performance.
Ensure tracking of maintenance metrics such as MTBF asset replacement value and planned vs. unplanned work.
Collaborate with maintenance and planning teams to support operational goals.
Perform facility condition assessments to evaluate asset health across multiple site types (labs offices manufacturing etc.).
Document asset findings prioritize needs and support capital planning/lifecycle asset management decisions.
Support commissioning activities for renovations upgrades and new builds.
Bachelor s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (preferred).
10 years of experience with RCM PdM/CbM methodologies building automation systems and data-driven asset management.
Experience in critical environments (data centers labs manufacturing) preferred.
Expertise in MEP systems and facility types (commercial critical manufacturing labs distribution).
Proven ability to deliver training and mentor technical teams.
Proficient in CMMS/EAM systems.
Understanding of ISO standards (e.g. ISO 9001 ISO 55001) asset lifecycle costing and risk analysis.
Strong technical aptitude in reading schematics equipment manuals and interpreting maintenance data.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Capable of managing multiple priorities and stakeholders.
Analytical mindset with advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Ability to work independently take initiative and think strategically.
