Electrical/Control Manager
Location: Denver CO
Salary Range: $120000 to $150000 (based on experience and knowledge)
About the Role
Sole Hire LLC has been retained to recruit on behalf of a leading client in the Engineering Procurement and Construction (EPC) industry. This fulltime directhire role offers a unique opportunity for an experienced electrical and controls professional to lead impactful projects with domestic and international exposure while building and developing a highperforming engineering team.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Delivery:
- Deliver ontime accurate and onbudget engineering packages.
- Ensure electrical drawings programs and related materials are errorfree and align with project objectives.
- Team & Department Leadership:
- Oversee and grow the electrical and controls department including hiring performance reviews and personnel management.
- Foster a collaborative environment and provide ongoing leadership and mentoring to team members.
- Project Management:
- Develop and organize projectspecific task lists manage scheduling and make timely decisions to avoid engineering delays.
- Manage the commissioning phase by assigning resources and at times participating directly on projects.
- Standardize methodologies for drafting and programming to enhance existing solutions.
- Administrative Duties:
- Handle administrative tasks such as managing timesheets job descriptions and procurement of materials.
- Maintain strong communication with internal stakeholders and external resources to ensure project success.
- Travel:
- Plan for approximately 30 travel to project sites (domestic and international) to ensure project schedules are maintained and progress is smooth.
Requirements
Needed Skills and Qualifications
- Technical Expertise:
- AutoCAD Electrical: Proficiency is essential for creating detailed electrical drawings schematics and BOMs.
- PLC Programming: Experience with Allen Bradley programming is required; Siemens experience is considered a strong plus.
- Electrical Cabinet Design: Extensive experience in designing electrical cabinets compliant with both US and international codes.
- Project & Team Management:
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and grow an engineering team (experience managing 3 engineers is required).
- Communication & Leadership:
- Exceptional organizational skills and a proactive approach to solving engineering challenges.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively motivate team members and coordinate with stakeholders.
- Compliance & Safety:
- Indepth understanding of NEC standards electrical safety protocols and best practices in the industry.
- Education & Experience:
- A degree in engineering with a background in electrical systems and programming.
- Familiarity with Fanuc robots is a plus.
