Compensation range:
$67.92 $91.69Your rate of pay will be based on applicable experience
Shift: Days 7:30am startShift length: 8Hours
Days off: Wednesday Friday Saturday & Sunday
Hours per pay period: 48 Hours
POSITION SUMMARY:
The Nurse Practitioner (NP) under the direction of the Medical Director/Supervising Physician and/or the Nurse Manager is a Registered Nurse who possesses additional clinical and didactic education to function at an advanced level of nursing practice. They will be clinically competent in physical diagnosis psychosocial assessment and management of healthillness needs to provide direct patient care and education to patients families students and nursing staff. The NP consistently demonstrates the core values of Enloe Medical Center and serves as a role model to other employees.
EDUCATION / TRAINING / EXPERIENCE:
Minimum:
- Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program
Desired:
- Acute hospital experience within the past two years
- Oneyear outpatient clinic experience with wound ostomy & pre/or postop surgical patients
- Bilingual in Spanish
LICENSES / CERTIFICATIONS:
Minimum:
- Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner Furnisher with the California Board of Registered Nursing
- Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) number or proof of application
- Current AHAHCP CPR recognition
- Current ACLS recognition (within 3 months of hire)
- Credentialed through the Enloe Medical Staff and Finance offices
- Meets Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) criteria to bill Medicare
Desired:
- Certified Wound Ostomy Continence Nurse or Certified Wound Ostomy Nurse
- Wound Treatment Associate
SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE / ABILITIES:
Must have the confidence and experience to work independently with diverse patient populations and experience in accessing specialty referrals and community resources. Must have the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally. Must have the ability to lead motivate delegate analyze information and problem solve. Behavior should be reflective of Enloe Medical Center core values. Must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the job.
