Job Description: GIS DBA specialist with 35 years experience. This Technical Specialist supports the GIS Units enterprise database development and administration efforts through a wide variety of activities and responsibilities.
This Technical Specialist supports GIS database development enhancement and maintenance work assigned to the GIS Unit. This resource is responsible for support designing and developing GIS database components supplement to current Enterprise GIS Roads and Highways Spot Online NC CRIS and ATLAS implementation to include migration of some components to Azure Cloud.

Conceptual Modeling of Systems Databases Workflow Processes. Documentation Technical Writing and Esri Product Suite.
Description (including but not limited to)
Follow guidance of senior GIS dbas to support a wide variety of activities and responsibilities including product development and maintenance customer support tool development and maintenance
Has working knowledge of Esri data types including basic understanding of SDE data governance and geospatial metadata concepts.
Has working knowledge of general GIS concepts related to data analysis editing and basic understanding of database technologies.
Consult with senior level technical staff and decisionmakers on an ongoing basis to formulate solutions. Work independently with customers to understand requirements and collaboratively develop solutions.
Support the production distribution and communications for GISU quarterly publication products.
