Mad Science is the worlds leading provider of fun science programs for elementaryaged children. We are looking for a selfmotivated detailoriented and reliable team player that would like to join our team in the role of Equipment Manager. You would be working in a fastpaced environment where communication and interpersonal skills are highly coveted!

For over 30 years we have delivered unique handson science experiences for children through our afterschool programs birthday parties workshops special events and summer camps. Our innovative programs are as entertaining as they are educational!
Job Summary
- Teaching tutoring coaching performing and/or camp experience with groups of elementaryaged kids volunteer OR jobrelated!
- Funloving energetic engaging congenial personality (Think Bill Nye the Science Guy or Mr./Ms. Wizard!
- Theater drama arts and/or other performance experience helpful
- Science major not required but love of and interest in science and ability to inspire kids is mandatory!
- Flexibility and availability
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Must have at least three weekdays available between the hours of 2 pm and 5 pm
Responsibilities
- Must have a reliable car for transporting equipment and travel throughout the county as well as to our warehouse periodically for supplies
- Ability to lift such totes and equipment weighing up to 40 lbs into and out of transportation and our client sites
- Handy with equipment not a requirement but certainly a plus!
- Willing to travel distances up to 25 miles one way (on occasion).
- Minimum of 3 weekday availability
- Minimum of 1 semester commitment
Qualifications
- Completes background check
- Selfmotivated
- Detailoriented
- Energetic
- Reliable team player and highlyorganized individual that works well in a fastpaced environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Has the ability to prioritize and handle multiple projects are essential to this position
- First Aid Certification (Preferred)
- CPR Certification (Preferred)
- Childcare experience 1 year preferred)
Compensation:
Our programs are typically compensated at $30 for a onehour school program and $45 per birthday party or special event such as a stage show.
