As an Art Teacher you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 delivering an engaging and diverse curriculum that encourages students to explore their artistic abilities. You will help students develop their skills in a range of artistic forms from traditional techniques such as drawing and painting to modern media such as digital art.
Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver inspiring art lessons across a variety of mediums ensuring that students of all abilities are challenged and supported.
Fostering Creativity: Encourage students to experiment with different artistic techniques helping them develop their skills while expressing their unique creativity.
Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and refine their work.
Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Art Department sharing resources ideas and best practices to ensure high standards across the curriculum.
ExtraCurricular Activities: Support and contribute to extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions and school projects providing students with additional opportunities to showcase their work and develop their skills further.
Qualifications: A degree in Art or a related subject along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.
Experience: While we welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their careers experience teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is preferred.
Passion for Art: A genuine passion for the arts and a desire to inspire students to explore their creativity and express themselves through their work.
