The Role

As an Art Teacher you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 delivering an engaging and diverse curriculum that encourages students to explore their artistic abilities. You will help students develop their skills in a range of artistic forms from traditional techniques such as drawing and painting to modern media such as digital art.

Key Responsibilities

• Teaching and Delivering Lessons: Plan and deliver inspiring art lessons across a variety of mediums ensuring that students of all abilities are challenged and supported.

• Fostering Creativity: Encourage students to experiment with different artistic techniques helping them develop their skills while expressing their unique creativity.

• Assessment and Feedback: Regularly assess students progress and provide constructive feedback to help them improve and refine their work.

• Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues in the Art Department sharing resources ideas and best practices to ensure high standards across the curriculum.

• ExtraCurricular Activities: Support and contribute to extracurricular activities such as art clubs exhibitions and school projects providing students with additional opportunities to showcase their work and develop their skills further.

What We Are Looking For

• Qualifications: A degree in Art or a related subject along with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or a relevant teaching qualification.

• Experience: While we welcome applications from teachers at all stages of their careers experience teaching Art at Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 is preferred.

• Passion for Art: A genuine passion for the arts and a desire to inspire students to explore their creativity and express themselves through their work.

• Collaborative and Enthusiastic: We are looking for a team player who is eager to contribute to a positive and creative environment within the department and school.

• Commitment to Student Success: You should be dedicated to helping all students achieve their best regardless of their prior experience or ability in art.
