Head of Drama Outstanding School Croydon
An exciting leadership opportunity has arisen for an inspirational and experienced practitioner to lead the Drama department at an Outstanding Ofstedrated secondary school in the London Borough of Croydon. We are seeking an exceptional Head of Drama to shape the vision and direction of Drama education within the school. This is a fulltime permanent position.
Responsibilities:
The successful Head of Drama will be responsible for the leadership and management of the Drama department ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 4 and 5. You will lead curriculum development manage departmental resources monitor student progress and inspire both students and staff. This role requires a visionary Head of Drama who can promote the subject throughout the school potentially overseeing productions and extracurricular activities. This is a key leadership role perfect for an ambitious Head of Drama.
Requirements:
Applicants must be a qualified Drama Teacher (QTS) with a relevant degree and a proven track record of excellent teaching and student outcomes in Drama. Significant experience teaching Drama at the secondary level including Key Stage 5 is essential. Leadership potential or previous experience in a position of responsibility within a Drama department is highly desirable. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Head of Drama. Excellent communication organisational and leadership skills are crucial for the Head of Drama.
