Job Description
A leading Mixed School in Haringey is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Design & Technology Teacher specialising in Product Design for a permanent fulltime position starting in September. The successful Design & Technology Teacher (Product Design) will inspire students across Key Stages 3 and 4 to develop their design thinking and manufacturing skills.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging and effective Design & Technology Teacher (Product Design) lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Prepare students thoroughly for GCSE Design & Technology with a focus on Product Design.
- Develop students understanding of design methodologies materials and production processes relevant to Product Design.
- Assess and monitor student progress providing constructive feedback as a Design & Technology Teacher (Product Design).
- Contribute to the ongoing development of the Design & Technology curriculum specifically within Product Design.
- Maintain a safe and effective workshop environment for Product Design activities.
Requirements
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent with a specialism in Design & Technology ideally with a focus on Product Design.
- Proven experience teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level (Key Stages 3 & 4 with experience in Product Design.
- Strong practical skills and knowledge of design processes materials and manufacturing relevant to Product Design.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to inspire creativity and technical proficiency in Product Design among students.
