Within the group controlling and consolidation team you coordinate the management reporting forecast and budget cycles and you are in charge of preparing and editing the financial and metal reporting. You play an active role in providing analysis advice and training and give support for specific projects. You have the responsibility over a team of a manager and an assistant. You report to the Head of Group Control and Consolidation.
Responsibilities
- You will deliver the financial and metal reporting to Excom and Senior Management by :
- preparing and editing the mnthly financial and metal reporting the quarterly forecast and the yearly budget and operational plan.
- clsely interacting with business units and subsidiaries overseeing the complete data collection process and data validation and assurings respect of timing and deadlines.
- assisting in cllecting and analysing data for any other ad hoc request in the domain of financial or metal performance.
- actively mnitoring the Group metal price exposure and preparing the Excom strategic hedge reviews by collecting and presenting all relevant data from the business units. You will also be responsible for the follow up on the of strategic hedging decisions.
- being in charge f guaranteeing the correct use of financial and metal valuation rules in the reporting.
- You identify propose and implement continuous improvement projects within the area of the processes in scope. In close interaction with the Finance Competence Centre IS project teams other corporate finance departments (tax treasury investor relations) and the BU and subsidiaries finance teams. You will collaborate with other departments (Tax HR Legal on the implementation of major projects having a Finance impact (e.g. carveouts; acquisitions; mergers
- You will coach your team in their direct daily work.
- You have a masters degree with a focus on finance accounting and controlling.
- You have a few years experience in controlling / accounting / consolidation
- You are systems minded; experience with consolidation software and/or BI reporting is a plus
- You have also strong analytical skills
- You are fluent in English as well written as spoken; other languages like German Dutch and French are a plus
- You are meticulous and punctual even under time pressure; you are stress resistant
- You have good people management skills and you are a team player
- You have solid expertise in Microsoft tools mainly Excel Powerpoint and Outlook
