Roles & Responsibilities : As a Backend Engineer at Preferable.ai your primary focus will be on developing and maintaining serverside technologies to ensure the functionality and scalability of our AIdriven hiring platform. Your responsibilities will include: Designing implementing and maintaining robust APIs for seamless integration with frontend applications. Collaborating with frontend developers to establish usercentric solutions based on strong backend processes. Building and optimizing database systems to support data retrieval and storage efficiently. Ensuring high performance and responsiveness of applications with a focus on code optimization. Implementing security measures to safeguard user data and enhance application security. Participating in code reviews and collaborative discussions to foster innovation and continuous improvement in our products. Diagnosing troubleshooting and debugging issues as they arise to maintain system integrity. Mandatory Requirements : To be considered for this role candidates must meet the following qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in backend development. Proficiency in one or more programming languages including Python Java PHP Ruby JavaScript (Node.js) and .NET. Demonstrated experience with serverside technologies such as Django (Python) Ruby on Rails (Ruby) and Express.js (Node.js). Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and how to create and consume them. Experience with databases (SQL and NoSQL) and optimizing their performance. Familiarity with version control systems preferably Git. Preferred Skills or Education Requirements : While the following skills are preferred they are not mandatory: Experience with cloud services like AWS Azure or Google Cloud Platform. Knowledge of containerization tools (Docker Kubernetes). Exposure to Agile development methodologies. Strong problemsolving skills and the ability to work in a fastpaced environment. Excellent communication and collaboration abilities. Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field is preferred. Compensation The salary for this fulltime position is set at 400000 per annum. Remote work options are available allowing you to work flexibly from Pune Maharashtra India.
