TITLE: ACCOUNTANT
LOCATION: LIGHTHOUSE POINT FL (IN OFFICE)
CORE HOURS: 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. with a 30minute lunch break

REPORTS TO: OPERATIONS MANAGER
POSITION SCOPE AND ORGANIZATIONAL IMPACT
As a Dock Experts Accountant you will play an important role in our company s financial operations ensuring accuracy and transparency in accounts receivable/payable in compliance with federal state and local regulations. This role requires experience with accounting software and data entry an excellent understanding of accounting rules and procedures including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); advanced knowledge and experience with spreadsheets; aptitude for numbers; extreme detailorientation; ability to work independently with strong organization time management selfmanagement and analytical skills; personal drive to develop and maintain positive working relationships; ability to remain be openminded with a strong work ethic desire to grow and ability to thrive in a complex and fastpaced environment.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Post and track all incoming/outgoing financial transactions (credits/debits) on appropriate company software
Receive and record vouchers cash and checks
Prepare bank deposits general ledger postings and statements
Reconcile accounts/discrepancies in a timely manner
Perform regular audits to verify accuracy in reports figures and postings and research track and reconcile any discrepancies in a timely manner
Maintain uptodate documentation and accounting procedures to ensure business continuity
Use bookkeeping databases spreadsheets and software (such as QuickBooks) to prepare and maintain appropriate books and records on accounting activity
Compile data and prepare regular and ad hoc reports/summaries to inform management on accounting activities (income statements balance sheets etc.
Provide accounting and clerical support as needed
Provide assistance and support to company personnel as needed
Function in accordance with established standards procedures and applicable laws
ESSENTIAL JOB EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent
Associates degree or higher in finance accounting or related field strongly preferred
Proven experience with accounting and financial software
Strong written and oral communication skills interpersonal skills and followthrough
Ability to communicate complex facts and figures to a broad audience with varying levels of accounting knowledge or vernacular
Experience generating and communicating reports on a regular basis
Experience drawing up a budget based on projected and actual income/expenditure accounts
Strong organization and timemanagement skills
Ability to maintain brisk work pace & timeliness of tasks
Proficient in Microsoft Office with aptitude to learn new software and systems
Expertlevel knowledge of working with spreadsheets
Ability to pass examination to comply with our drugfree workplace policy
