Job Description
JOB DETAILS
Starting pay is $21.50 per hour
Shift: 1st Shift 7:00 am to 3:30 pm Monday through Friday (weekends based on business need)
The Bender is responsible for the fabrication and production of the component parts for the final assembly/FL/CT windows. Successful candidates enjoy working in a fastpaced physically demanding and repetitive work environment which includes heavy lifting or working with your hands
- Operation of various hand tools to manually construct window units
- Ensures overall quality of work produced by performing quality audits and engaging in problemsolving activities to resolve issues of concern
- Must be able to cut profiles
- Accurate use of tape measure
- Understand all options applicable to each unit
- Must be able to work with hot gylcerine
- Prioritizes repairs
- Able to train others
- Able to fill profiles with foam
Qualifications :
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand for the duration of the entire shift
- Must crosstrain and rotate on various workstations within line/complex
- Ability to measure lengths accurately to 1/32
- Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers common fractions and decimals
- Convert fractions to decimals
- Able to read schematics drawings and diagrams
- Capable of using computerized equipment
- Operate the foam filling machine
- Ability to move carts in and out of production areas
- 1 3 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
