Information specific to this position: We have reached our capacity for substitute hiring in the 202425 school year. At this time we ask that you only apply to this pool if you were guided to by a PSD employee. A new pool will open for the 202526 school year after summer break that will be open to all applicants.

A licensed substitute must hold a valid Colorado Teaching License or Substitute Authorization issued from the Colorado Department of Education. Substitute teacher hiring will begin in September 2024 and continue through April 2025. Approved applicants will be contacted via email or phone to attend a substitute hiring event. Upon hiring all licensed substitutes are required to attend an orientation meeting which is typically offered monthly.

Salary: $145$165/day

FullDay Rate/ Qualifications below:

$145/day

$155/day

Or if one of the following is true:

$165/day

* Half day pay is prorated at 50 of the full day rate.

Hours/day: Half day (up to 4 hours/day) or full day (more than 4 hours per day)

Work calendar days: Varied

Benefits include: PERA retirement

*Pay range listed above is for employees newly hired to PSD (existing employees please refer to the pay range on the appropriate salary schedule). PSD engages in a salary placement process vs. a salary negotiation process. The compensation offered to the successful applicant may vary based on factors including experience skills education location and other jobrelated reasons.
