We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role you will contribute to the design development testing and implementation of industrial control systems working with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) Human Machine Interfaces (HMIs) Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) software and Industrial Network solutions. You will also configure PC software packages integrate software using standard protocols and develop custom scripts where needed. The role may require occasional travel to client sites across the UK.
Design develop program and test innovative control solutions under guidance.
Work collaboratively to resolve hardware and software challenges.
Configure secure infrastructure and communication systems.
Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards.
Supervise assembly and conduct electrical testing of hardware.
Install and commission solutions on customer sites.
Provide support and mentorship to junior engineers.
Proven experience in control system project delivery including design implementation testing and commissioning.
Strong understanding of electrical system drawings wiring schematics and termination diagrams.
Good knowledge of general IT/OT technologies and development methodologies.
Awareness of Quality Management System procedures.
Experience with Windows OS configuration and security lockdown.
Familiarity with network switch firewall configuration and network management.
Degree (minimum 2:1 in Electrical & Electronic Electrical or Software Engineering or equivalent qualification.
Experience with Siemens PLCs HMIs DCS or Drives.
Ability to produce highquality technical documentation.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
Ability to estimate time and cost for tasks.
Eligible for security clearance for client site access.
Strong problemsolving and analytical skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication.
Ability to work independently at customer locations.
Strong commercial awareness and diligence.
