Office for Hispanic Serving Institution Initiative:
The Office for Hispanic Serving Institution (HSI) Initiatives in the Access and Community Engagement division provides a centralized vision and guidance for maximizing UCFs HSI federal designation in a way that meaningfully serves students faculty staff alumni and external community members from all backgrounds. HSI Initiatives spearheads the development implementation and assessment of HSI goals and objectives to advance a culture of servingness across the institution. The office also works collaboratively with federal foundation and corporate partners to strengthen institutional capacity through grantfunded and philanthropic activities aimed at strengthening Minority Serving Institutions.
The Opportunity:
The Project Manager provides support and coordination for Project ENFERMERIA funded by a fiveyear grant through the Promoting PostBaccalaureate Opportunities for Hispanic Americans Program (Title V Part B) to expand educational opportunities for and improve the attainment of Hispanic students. This grant also enables HSIs to expand and enhance their academic offerings program quality and institutional stability benefiting students of all backgrounds. The Project Manager supports Project ENFERMERIA implementation; monitors grant activities to ensure that project operation is compliant with federal and UCF policies and guidelines; and performs other projectrelated work as needed. The Project Manager reports directly to the Senior Director for Hispanic Serving Institution Initiatives and Partnerships who also serves as Title V ENFERMERIA Project Director.
Classification Title: Administrative Project Manager I
This is a Contract and Grant (C&G) funded position. Employment is subject to availability of funding and may cease at the time funding for this employment is depleted.
Responsibilities:
Develops implements and manages a detailed project schedule and work plan; Coordinates and manages daytoday tasks necessary to successfully meet project objectives. Assists with the development of and monitors project activities.
Manages the project management team on behalf of the Project Director; Including biweekly project management meetings with all partners to ensure project timelines are set and achieved. Controls scope of project keeps team on task with minimal variance from project objectives.
Develops implements and manages internal project processes including reporting to ensure compliance with institutional policies as well as Title V and U.S. Department of Education rules and regulations.
Administers project budget according to the U.S. Department of Education federal grant guidelines as well as UCF policies and procedures; Tracks project costs and makes adjustments as necessary to remain within dedicated budget. Works with Office of Sponsored Programs to ensure financial compliance budget monitoring and audits.
Collects data and assesses project progress outcomes and success in collaboration with the Project Director the external evaluator and Office of Research to ensure grant deliverables and performance reports are submitted to the U.S. Department of Education in a timely fashion.
Assists the Project Director by coordinating and preparing project materials for all grantrelated meetings including advisory board meetings; Provides logistical support in preparation for and during meetings.
Provides regular project updates to the Project Director regarding strategy adjustments and progress; Identifies obstacles and makes strategic adjustments as necessary; Provides solutions to obstacles that arise during project .
Performs other administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelors or Masters degree and 4 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219. Click here for more information
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree and 4 years of relevant work experience.
Experience in budget and federal grant management.
Extensive experience in project assessment and reporting.
Recent experience working at a federally designated Hispanic Serving Institution or Hispanic Serving School District.
Demonstrated knowledge of the HSI federal designation related implications and applicable evidencebased practices.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Prefer candidate with the ability to communicate in both English and Spanish in order to work effectively with stakeholders.
Recent experience leading crossfunctional teams at largescale organizations.

The anticipated salary range for this position is $56030 to $72100. The final salary will be determined based on the candidates qualifications experience and internal equity considerations.
