Overview:
Nationwide IT Services (NIS) seeks a highly skilled VMware Administrator to support our DCSA customer at Quantico. This role requires expertise in managing complex virtualized environments and ensuring system performance security and availability in a missioncritical setting.
System Uptime & Reliability Maintain 99.9 availability for VMwarebased infrastructure ensuring optimal system performance and reliability.
Security Compliance & STIG Implementation Implement DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) across ESXi and VDI environments ensuring full compliance with cybersecurity requirements.
Incident Response & Resolution Troubleshoot and resolve virtualizationrelated issues within SLA timelines ensuring minimal downtime.
Patching & Vulnerability Remediation Execute timely system updates patches and vulnerability remediations per IAVA/IAVB directives.
Efficiency in System Administration Streamline the administration of virtualized servers vSAN and VDI through automation and best practices reducing manual intervention by 30.
Process Documentation & SOP Development Develop and maintain accurate SOPs updating quarterly or as tasked to ensure standardized procedures for system administration.
Plan coordinate and execute the installation testing and maintenance of VMware environments supporting Microsoft Windows Server and RHEL Server Operating Systems.
Manage system resources optimizing performance capacity and availability while ensuring compliance with security protocols.
Conduct log analysis error detection and fault correction to maintain system health and stability.
Design and implement solutions for virtualized infrastructure ensuring seamless integration of new software and technologies.
Perform systemlevel design configuration and maintenance ensuring all VMware components align with organizational requirements.
Provide technical guidance on new requirements and best practices for virtualization.
Education & Experience: Bachelors degree in IT Cybersecurity Data Science Information Systems or Computer Science with 9 years of relevant experience (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Security Certification: Security CE or equivalent IATII certification.
Active Clearance: TS with SCI eligibility.
Technical Mastery:
Expertise in vSAN vCenter and vSphere 8.x including vMotion High Availability REST APIs and Integrated Containers.
Proficiency in UNIXbased and Windows Server Operating Systems including Active Directory Group Policy Objects DHCP and DNS.
Windows Server Red Hat SQL.
