Godrej Industries (Chemicals) is one of the oldest businesses of the Godrej Group and is in the business of manufacturing oleochemicals in India since 1963. Today we are one of Indias leading oleochemicals players and manufacture and market over 100 chemicals for use in more than 24 applications. We are expanding our reach globally and our products are exported to over 80 countries in North and South America Asia Europe Australia and Africa. Our stateoftheart manufacturing facilities are located in India at Valia in Gujarat and Ambernath in Maharashtra.
Over the last decade we have diversified our product portfolio to include value added specialty products. We are constantly looking for new ways to collaborate and learn from partners across the globe. At the same time we are also investing significantly in Research and Development to enhance our capabilities and grow our product portfolio. We recently set up a Research and Development centre at Ambernath and a pilot plant at Valia to develop our new range of products. Job Purpose To aid the movement to World Class Manufacturing and continuous improvement through building capability of Employees establish and drive routines at the plants resulting in efficiency improvements cost reduction productivity quality through training and People development initiatives at Godrej Industries LtdChemicals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to Global Supply ManEx processes and leverage best practice standards to improve performance.
- Spearhead & Drive plants to be recognized by industry awards like Deming TPM consistency Excellence and other recognitions by the Indian industry by Establishing industry best practices like Lean management six Sigma techniques.
- Drive implementation of improvement programs standardize process improvement approach across units to achieve consistent and sustainable results across the business.
- Identify Defects Delays Waste & Mistakes & facilitate corrective actions using Lean Methodologies.
- Support in developing TPM to ensure maximum plant availability & extended equipment life
- Analyze operational lines OEE and collaborate with the team to enhance and sustain it
- Guiding in the selection of appropriate tools to solve complex process problems and Using correct
- metrics to establish the baseline performance and target for improvement initiatives
- Preparing Training Modules on Quality & Continual Improvement concepts & methods
- Develop specific manufacturing performance improvement initiatives to optimize cost eliminate waste and improve operational flexibility Make KPIs against unit level performance targets to eliminate waste and optimize efficiencies via monthly Make target performance.
- Demonstrate rigor in implementation of Global ManEx processes and standards via annual alignment review.
- Guide auditable improvement in understanding of required processes and culture shift with sustained results via annual unit audits.
- Establish / Promote the culture of TPM across levels in the manufacturing spectrum.
- Develop TPM professionals in the organization through training and development.
- Establish a program to cascade the culture on to the shop floor with feedback and action plans.
- Identify top issues in specific plants lay down a process approach of problem solving hand hold and demonstrate the process to resolve the problem completely and sustain the same.
- Create islands of excellence for each plant/ zone to replicate and cascade.
- Identify assess prepare and drive people development programs for Plants.
- Create expertise in all Maintenance planners to drive TPM culture.
- Periodic Energy audit for equipment with minor modification to minimize energy and power consumption.
- Engaging HAZOP meeting with cross functional teams for the risk and mitigation action plan inorder implement inherently safer facility for manufacturing.
- Operational excellence initiative to improve the batch cycle time and yields in the exiting commercial products.
Educational Qualification:
B.E. / B. Tech
Experience: 10
