Salary: The salary for this position will be based on the EASMCESP tenmonth fourhour food service employees salary schedule Range 2. $12254 $18533

NATURE OF WORK:

Performs a variety of tasks related to food production and food service in a fastpaced environment under the direction of the food service manager. The work requires a substantial amount of physical dexterity can be repetitive and requires prolonged standing. Food Service Workers are provided on the job training and are expected to become proficient in accomplishing required duties during a sixmonth probationary period.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cooks and prepares bulk quantities of food items
• Sets up serving lines and serves food items on the line
• Operates a computerized point of sale system
• Operates a dishwasher
• Washes pots and pans in a threecompartmented sink
• Cleans and sanitizes food service equipment and associated spaces
• Maintains highquality food preparation and the highest caliber of customer service
• Works effectively with others as part of a team
• Coordinates with other school staff in support of the recycling program
• Participates in promotions of new food items and nutrition education activities
• Fills in for the manager after proficiency is demonstrated
• Performs other duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required:

• Must be physically able to lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.

Preferred:

• Experience in a commercial food service environment.

TERM OF EMPLOYMENT

Halftime tenmonth position.
