Hire Resolve a leading recruitment agency is currently seeking a skilled Civil Quantity Surveyor to join our clients team in Cape Town. As a Civil Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for managing costs and contractual matters on various construction projects.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering projects and possess excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
Responsibilities:
- Preparing accurate cost estimates and budgets for construction projects
- Conducting quantity takeoffs and measurements
- Managing and controlling project costs including tracking and reporting on cost variations
- Preparing and analysing tender and contract documents
- Sourcing and negotiating with subcontractors and suppliers
- Providing advice on contractual claims and settlement of final accounts
- Ensuring compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Quantity Surveying Civil Engineering or related field
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor in civil engineering projects
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering construction processes and materials
- Experience or capability to manage a civil project with values of R200 million
- Proficiency in quantity surveying software and MS Office Suite
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team and meet project deadlines
- Experience in both GCC and FIDIC forms of contracts would be an advantage
