Job Description

THE DAYTODAY:

As a Patent Prosecution associate in the Litigation Department youll have the opportunity to work on interesting challenging and groundbreaking technologies in collaboration with senior attorneys. Youll also have the opportunity to become involved in patent trademark copyright and trade secrets litigation.

YOU HAVE:

  • 24 years of patent litigation experience; Responsibilities will include preparation and prosecution of patent applications including appeals before the BPAI prepare patent noninfringement and invalidity analyses and opinions and conduct patent due diligence studies. Litigation experience in other intellectual property litigation matters including trademark copyright trade dress trade secrets anticounterfeiting etc. would be helpful but not required.

  • Excellent academic credentials analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills

  • Preferred degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or Material Science

  • Admission to the USPTO and admission to the North Carolina Bar or the ability to waive in to the North Carolina Bar are also required
