Location:Hamilton Ontario and surrounding areas
Schedule: Monday to Friday shifts are scheduled between 7:00am to 6:00pm
Pay Rate (includes wage grants):
- RECE: $26.96 per hour
- NonRECE: $22.30 per hour

Who Were Looking For
Experience:- Minimum 1year experience working directly with children OR related experience in a childcare setting working with schoolage children.
Education:- Education:
- Diploma in a field related to childcare such as Early Childhood Education
- A Diploma in Child & Youth Worker Child and Youth Care OCT Education Assistant Social Worker or Recreation & Leisure may also be considered.
- Certifications:
- Member in good standing with the College of Early Childhood Educators (ECEs) is preferred but not required
- Standard First Aid with CPR Level C
- Satisfactory Vulnerable Sector Police Check
- Uptodate immunization for TB Tetanus and MMR
- Proof of COVID19 vaccinations
Skills:- Knowledge of the Ministry of Educations How Does Learning Happen framework is an asset.
Characteristics:- Willingness to work in an oncall capacity with flexible scheduling
- Availability to work a minimum of 3 days per week Monday to Friday within the 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM time frame.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fastpaced flexible environment with minimal supervision
- Flexibility and adaptability to be assigned in multiple locations with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:
- Reporting to assigned childcare centres to support full and parttime staff
- Establishing goals planning implementing and evaluating developmentally appropriate activities to support childrens cognitive physical social and emotional growth in line with the How Does Learning Happen framework
- Maintaining a safe nurturing and engaging environment for children while fostering professional relationships with Hamilton Wentworth District School Board faculty
