The University of Tennessees Career Gateway is looking to fill the temporary assignment of Medical Billing Specialist with the Audiology and Speech Pathology. Through temporary assignment placements Career Gateway allows the opportunity to work with various departments while gaining valuable work experience. Each assignment has differing pay rates work schedules and lengths of assignments. The length of assignments is subject to change. Responsibilities

The Department of Audiology & Speech Pathology is seeking an experienced medical coder/biller to assist in our EMR transition. This position ensures medical claims are properly coded and billed timely identifies and investigates billing problems to find and implement solutions and corrects claims for rebilling and appeals denials. This position also reconciles insurance payments to patient accounts and bills patients accordingly. This person will need to maintain strong communication among clinic personnel and providers insurance representatives and software vendors to provide guidance feedback and support.

Potential for retention in full time permanent position.
