Our client in the Software sector is looking for an Energy Product Manager on a contract duration of 12 months.
1. Product Strategy and Vision:
o Developing the roadmap for IoTbased energy products defining their vision and ensuring they align with market needs trends and regulatory requirements related to energy management sustainability and efficiency.
o Identifying opportunities for energy savings optimization and sustainability through the use of IoT technology.
2. Energy Monitoring and Optimization:
o Overseeing the creation of systems that allow realtime monitoring of energy consumption across devices buildings or industrial plants.
o Ensuring the product supports data collection from smart meters sensors and other IoT devices to optimize energy use identify inefficiencies and reduce waste.
3. Smart Grid and Smart Meter Integration:
o Managing products that integrate with smart grids (electric grids enhanced with IoT devices for realtime monitoring and management) and smart meters (devices that measure and communicate energy usage data).
o Ensuring that the product can communicate with utilities and customers for energy demand response (e.g. adjusting energy use based on grid conditions).
4. Sustainability and Regulatory Compliance:
o Designing products that help users meet sustainability goals track carbon footprints and adhere to energyrelated regulations and certifications such as energy efficiency standards or carbon reduction targets.
o Ensuring the product is aligned with environmental and energy policies such as those aimed at reducing greenhouse gas emissions or promoting renewable energy sources.
5. User Experience and Interface:
o Overseeing the creation of userfriendly interfaces (e.g. mobile apps dashboards) for customers to monitor energy consumption receive insights and manage energy use effectively.
o Making sure the energy product is easy to integrate into existing home or business infrastructure providing seamless interaction with various devices or platforms.
6. Collaboration with CrossFunctional Teams:
o Working with hardware and software engineers data scientists energy experts and business stakeholders to ensure the product meets technical and market requirements.
o Collaborating with sales and marketing teams to position and promote the product effectively to target customers (e.g. homeowners businesses utilities).
7. Data Analytics and Insights:
o Leveraging data generated by IoT devices to provide actionable insights into energy usage patterns trends and opportunities for optimization.
o Utilizing machine learning and predictive analytics to forecast energy needs detect anomalies and provide recommendations for improving energy efficiency.
8. Customer Engagement and Feedback:
o Interacting with customers to understand their energy management challenges and incorporating their feedback into the product development process.
o Ensuring that the product solves realworld problems for customers such as reducing energy bills improving energy efficiency or providing visibility into energy usage.
