The Opportunity
P&G is seeking a talented individual with less than 2 years of experience as a patent attorney to join our Legal organization at the Company Headquarters in Cincinnati Ohio or the Grooming Headquarters in Boston Massachusetts. The selected individual will be a strategic partner to the business in the creation and protection of global intellectual property assets for P&Gs brands and have the opportunity to develop as a patent attorney within a strong inhouse patent organization. Key aspects of the role include IP strategy development preparation and prosecution of patent applications globally freedomtopractice assessments patent enforcement and due diligence.
P&G attorneys work directly with clients to solve problems creatively and determine how best to manage the clients legal needs across critically important as well as challenging and rapidly evolving legal spaces. The position requires strong crossteam collaboration and coordination with business clients multifunctional partners and legal colleagues.
Job Qualifications
- A Juris Doctorate in 2025 or earlier with outstanding academic performance
- Membership in at least one state bar with the ability to become a member of the Ohio bar or the Massachusetts bar.
- Demonstrated interest in patent law with 02 years of experience with a law firm inhouse government or other legal department in drafting patent applications and responding to patent office actions in the US as well as foreign jurisdictions.
- Undergraduate degree in a scientific or engineering discipline
- Registered to practice or eligible to take the patent bar to become registered to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and very strong problemsolving skills.
- Track record of success in professional and personal activities.
- Proven leadership as well as the ability to work as a member of a team both with business clients and within the Legal organization.
Pay Range: $143000 $160000
Compensation for roles at P&G varies depending on a wide array of equal opportunity factors including but not limited to the specific office location role degree/credentials relevant skills and level of experience.
