You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailVisa is seeking a commercial technology and sourcing transactions attorney to join the legal team that supports Visas global sourcing function. The attorney will report to the Vice President Visa Legal (Global Sourcing and Visa Technology & Operations LLC)
The role will work on a variety of strategic sourcing and purchase and resale transactions with leading information technology hardware data telecommunications software SaaS/PaaS/IaaS and professional services companies around the world. In addition the role includes responsibility for reviewing updating and creating templates in collaboration with stakeholders across Visa including regulatory compliance risk data privacy technology sourcing and intellectual property.

Visa Is Looking For Someone Who Will:
Work closely with business and technology teams including senior management to understand and achieve key business objectives
Draft negotiate and drive to completion complex commercial technology and strategic sourcing agreements that achieve business objectives and where necessary meet regulatory requirements
Provide sophisticated and creative counseling and advice to business and technology teams regarding deal structures and associated commercial and contracting considerations
Initiate and help drive process and efficiency improvements across the legal team and Visas global sourcing function
Able to juggle multiple complex matters while maintaining objectivity
This is a hybrid position. Expectation of days in office will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.
Qualifications :
Basic Qualifications:
5 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelors Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters MBA JD MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD
At least 3-10 years of legal practice including at least 4 years supporting a sophisticated sourcing function (in-house or at law firm) in technology and services
Admitted or licensed to practice in Texas or California.
Able to work independently and collaborating with executive-level partners with little or no supervision
Practical and can-do problem-solver with strong business acumen confidence maturity and calm under fire
Demonstrated ability to lead and drive complex commercial and technology transactions including internationally
Excellent legal analytical skills with the ability to integrate legal advice and business knowledge while providing equitable advice regarding risks and benefits
Preferred Qualifications
Experience at a top-tier law firm (or in-house at Fortune 100 company supporting Sourcing)
Prior experience supporting sourcing for technology financial services or telecommunications companies

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk communicate in person and by telephone frequently operate standard office equipment such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 176800.00 to 230000.00 USD per year which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge skills experience and location. In addition this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
