What Youll Be Doing:
Lead records through their lifecycle from creation to disposition ensuring accuracy quality control and compliance with retention schedules.
Develop implement and maintain records management policies and procedures while keeping system manuals up to date.
Deliver inspiring training programs empowering teams with the knowledge to thrive in records management FOIP and disaster recovery.
Drive the development of corporatewide electronic records management systems bringing innovation and efficiency to the organization.
Manage complex FOIP and privacy requests showcasing your analytical skills and expertise in legislative compliance.
Support collaborative projects that contribute to the Towns success.
Qualifications That Set You Apart:
Certified Records Manager (CRM) designation or Information Access and Protection of Privacy (IAPP) certificate. Equivalent education and experience will be considered.
Minimum two years of experience in implementing and operating records management systems preferably in municipal government including training cohorts.
Direct experience with FOIP and access/privacy legislation as well as knowledge of the Municipal Government Act (MGA).
Expertise in file classification systems retention schedules archives and information governance concepts.
Advanced proficiency in MS Office Adobe Professional and Records Information Management (RIM) software.
Strong organizational research and time management skills with the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
