Job Description
Overview:
The Catering Sales Manager is responsible for booking and coordinating various events including Weddings Corporate and SocialEvents. The Catering Sales Manager mustensure customer satisfaction and exceptional experiences for large and small events. Under the purview of the Catering department the successful candidate will solicit new catering accounts while maintaining relationships with existing accounts to maximize profits. The Catering team works closely with the Banquets Team to ensure all guest needs and expectations are met.
Responsibilities:
The Catering Sales Manageris responsible for booking planning and coordinating of weddings and various social events while serving as the main liaison between the client and Ocean Place Resort and Spa. You will be an integral member of the Catering Sales team that will manage all outbound sales efforts for both weddings and social events. The Catering Sales Manager will participate in the continuing effort to deliver unique experiences and nurture lasting relationships with clients while focusing on building longterm valuebased relationships. Experience working with prospective brides is a must; corporate experience is also required. The ability to work in a fastpaced environment as well as being a true hospitality professional is essential.
Job Summary:
The ideal candidate for the Catering Sales Manager position will have extensive experience working with prospective brides and will also have experience with social and corporate sales. Essential Job Functions:
Lead the outbound effort to fill both social space and maximize revenue
Meet or exceed Catering budget goals.
Respond to inbound inquires within 2448 hours conduct site tours with potential clients and provide venue information
Strong follow up skills with new and existing clients
Ability to negotiate influence and sell prospective clients as well as upsell existing clients
Current industry contacts and potential leads a plus
Plan coordinate and manage event logistics including timelines menu planning floor plans audio visual needs
Create organized and detailed Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) to be shared with other departments to ensure the seamless for events
Responsible for developing organizing and managing events from point of contract through of the event.
Excellent time management and communication skills
Exceptional attention to detail organizational skills and results oriented.
Education Experience and Skill Requirements:
In accordance with New Jersey State Legislature (New Jersey Legislature Bill S2310 Sca 1R) which requires private employers with ten 10 or more employees to include a range of pay for all advertised jobs promotion or transfer opportunities. This position pays $50000 $60000/ year dependent on experience.
