Primary Purpose:
The Center for Educator Success is designed to transform educator talent pipelines by partnering with districts to reimagine a comprehensive approach to educator recruitment and retention. Reporting to the Officer of Secondary Education the Assessment Manager will serve as a critical member of educator certification team responsible for coordinating and managing the assessment and certification process in accordance with Texas Administrative code.
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Masters degree from an accredited college/university required
- Texas Teacher Certification required.

Experience:
- Experience working in traditional or alternative certification programs preferred
- Leadership experience preferred
Major Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate Assessment Activities:Oversee exam preparation including scheduling resource allocation and candidate communication to ensure a streamlined process.
- Develop Support Programs:Create and implement study groups tutoring sessions and workshops tailored to candidates needs.
- Analyze Data:Evaluate exam performance data to identify trends and inform instructional strategies.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders:Work with internal and external partners to align assessment activities with the certification program.
- Advocate for Candidates:Address candidates needs and concerns providing personalized support and guidance.
- Conduct Assessments:Identify candidates strengths and areas for improvement.
- Offer Coaching:Provide individualized coaching and tutoring sessions.
- Teach Coursework:Instruct Content Methodology courses.
- Review Practice Exams:Evaluate practice exams and assignments offering feedback for improvement.
- Stay Updated:Keep abreast of changes in Texas teacher certification exams and communicate updates to candidates.
- Develop Resources:Collaborate with educators to create instructional materials for exam preparation.
- Monitor Progress:Track candidates progress and provide ongoing support and motivation.
- Coordinate Advisors:Support candidate advisors and streamline processes.
- Maintain Records:Work with the Compliance Manager to keep accurate records of candidate progress and exam scores.
- Ensure Compliance:Collaborate with the certification team to meet state certification requirements.
- Continuous Learning:Engage in ongoing professional development.
- Support Team:Help colleagues as needed.
- Additional Duties:Perform other duties as assigned.

Manager
