Building & Grounds Maintenance
Starting Wage $32.05/hr
Shift 6am to 2pm
The Buildings and Grounds Maintenance position ensures that the facility is kept in good condition and in working order and provides support for any activities that pertain to facility property concerns. Base responsibilities cover but are not limited to; Painting Caulking Patching Light masonry Carpentry Plumbing. Other job responsibilities include; Trainer for aerial lifts and forklifts qualification being a member of the Hazwoper team Company liaison for nonKraft personnel (contractors visitors etc. make offsite deliveries or pickups as needed assist with maintaining the facility Fire and Security systems and assist utility mechanics on tasks that require additional support.
Responsible for primary carpentry painting plumbing patching and caulking needs at the plant. Using tools such as hammers hoists saws drills wrenches or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices to repair structures. Paint or repair roofs windows doors floors woodwork plaster drywall or other parts of building structures. Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties which will include groundskeeping services such as landscaping or snow removal. Employee will also coordinate work and supervise non department personnel used for facility painting/ cleaning projects.
Employee will be responsible for data time entry supply ordering and delivery using SAP (CMMS). Responsible for accurate use of spill control procedures and be an active member of HAZWOPER Team. Operating Ariel Platform lift Forklift and hand truck as needed. Perform observations and trainings timely while providing leadership and training to new hires/ trainees especially with the safe use of fork trucks and aerial lifts! Must follow FSQ requirements such as GMPs and other daily/job specific duties to support QRMP. Responsible to follow all company established safety policies and procedures!
Knowledge of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words rules of composition and grammar. Understand written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents. A proven understanding of building and construction processes with an understanding of materials methods and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses buildings or other structures. Problem Solving by identifying sophisticated problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Using reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions conclusions or approaches to problems while actively learning new information for both current and future problemsolving and decision making. Using your time and the time of others well.
Being able to see things close up will be helpful while wearing common protective or safety equipment such as: safety glasses along with safety shoes gloves hearing protection and hard hats. Standing for extended periods while performing ones job in both an indoor and outdoor setting in varying temperatures. You will be working around industrial equipment which could include heights and the ability to lift 50 pounds occasionally. Hand and arm dexterity will be needed for this job. You will need to quickly move your hands and arms or your two hands to grasp manipulate or assemble objects. Hands will be used to handle control or feel objects tools or controls. Good communication skills will also benefit the employee.
