Sales Application Engineer III

Nikkiso Cryoquip is a leading manufacturer of heat exchangers liquefiers and vaporizers for the LNG and industrial gases industry. Applications include fueling stations marine engines peak shaving power generation virtual pipelines and well stimulation.

Summary/Objective

Sales/Applications Engineers are the direct technical link between customers and the internal groups of the organization responsible for sales and growth of market share within the LNG/Energy and industrial gas markets both domestically and internationally. Daily tasks includeprocess design for customer tailored proposals proposal formulation and sales negotiations (both technical and commercial) to ultimately win projects and grow the business. Secondary tasks could includeproject management and R&D project .

Essential Functions/Responsibilities

• Apply advanced knowledge obtained through education and work experience to increase sales for equipment and systems to existing and new customers
  Customer development including travel to customer location and project sites
  Process design (both fluid and heat transfer) to create the most efficient and costeffective solution for the customer
  Proposal creation adhering to the technical specifications and unique problem statements
  Attention to detail in technical specification review and properly identifying the applicable requirements taking exception to those that dont apply.
  Project Management
  Coordinate with Business Development and Products Managers to cover the LNG/Energy and Industrial Gases Markets globally.

Coordinate with internal groups including Engineering Procurement and Production for proper proposal and project
Provides assistance for dynamic system calculations including heat loads temperature swings etc... for project
Assists with project cost analysis and monitoring to maintain project budget
Assists with developing and implementing test procedures for internal FATs / Functional tests

Supervisory Responsibility

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely utilizes standard office equipment such as laptop computers photocopiers and smartphones.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and ability to adjust focus. This would require the ability to lift files open filing cabinets and bend or stand on a stool as necessary.

Travel:

Domestic travel required. International as needed.

Education and Experience

• Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or similar discipline.
• Knowledge of thermal and fluid engineering concepts equipment knowledge problem solving skills detailed oriented results driven organizational skills group work efficiency technical aptitude of systems software (Autocad) is a plus personable strong communication and people skills.
• 35 years of relevant experience in a similar role is required
