REPORTS TO: Director of Special EducationPOSITION SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Director of Special Education the OnetoOne Paraprofessional provides direct support to an individual student in academic and vocational settings assisting with learning tasks and activities organization and engagement. The OnetoOne Paraprofessional will implement educational accommodations support socialemotional and behavioral needs and collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure student success while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to the following:Provides direct support to one student in classroom and vocational settings.Assists with academic tasks organization and engagement in learning activities.Implements accommodations and modifications as outlined in the students educational plan.Supports the students socialemotional and behavioral needs.Collaborates with teachers specialists and support staff to ensure student success.Maintains confidentiality and professionalism at all times.EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School Diploma required.Experience working with special education students in an educational setting is preferred.Experience with vocational education or Bay Path specific programs is a plus.QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge of special education needs and strategies preferred.Passion for supporting student learning and development required.Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and staff.Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Patient reliable and ability to maintain a positive attitude.Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive educational environment. Must be authorized to work in the United States.TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This is a 10 month position.This position is part of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the Bay Path Teachers Association (Paraprofessionals) and the SWCRVSDC.SALARY: Appropriate step on BPTA (Paraprofessionals) pay schedule pursuant to the BPTA (Paraprofessionals) CBA.Application Process: Interested applicants should submit a cover letter resume and three 3 letters of reference.
