Job Description

Human Resources Generalist

Core Responsibilities
HR Excellence:
  • Understand the business being served and maintain consistent engagement with the leadership team especially within Operations to foster collaboration with Operations leadership.
  • Respond quickly and with sound business acumen to shifting priorities based on business need.
  • Create and ensure that standard work is followed on a consistent and accurate basis throughout the year providing reliable support for both business leaders and associates.
  • Research clarify processes and confirm that standard work is being followed appropriately with performance being evaluated through feedback from the HR leadership team coaching the administration team and leaders/associates.
  • Provide timely communication to support business objectives.

  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programsincluding but not limited to compensation benefits and leave disciplinary matters disputes and investigations performance and talent management productivity recognition morale occupational health and safety and training and development.
  • Promote and administer Eberhards comprehensive benefits package emphasizing health and wellness compensation retirement planning and supplemental rewards.
  • Assist with coordination of open enrollment process by designing communication materials holding associate information sessions setting up system/process for selecting benefits ensuring accuracy in sending information to insurance vendors and accurately providing payroll details on associate deductions.
  • Create ongoing communications to keep associates informed about benefits and wellness offerings in medical plans.
Labor Relations:
  • Contribute to a positive environment for all Eberhard associates by listening and responding to associate concerns including investigations as needed.
  • Provide management with appropriate advice and counsel on associate issues.
  • Coordinate and assist with company events as needed.
Misc.:
  • Reviews tracks and documents compliance with mandatory and nonmandatory training continuing education and work assessments (e.g. safety antiharassment professional licensure certifications).
  • Maintain and optimize the HRIS system to ensure data accuracy system efficiency and seamless integration with HR processes while identifying opportunities for improvement and automation.
  • Regularly review policies to ensure compliance with federal state and local employment laws and regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends best practices and new technologies in human resources talent management and employment law.
  • Assist in the communication interpretation and upkeep of employee handbook and contribute to policy development.
  • Serve as the primary backup for payroll processing employee file management vacation/sick pay tracking and weekly attendance maintenance.
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by HR Supervisor.
Minimum Knowledge Skills and Abilities
  • Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of HR work
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively with both associates and managers
  • Word / Excel / HRIS experience (Paylocity preferred)
Preferred Knowledge Skills and Abilities: (including educational requirements)
  • Ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants and employees
  • Associates degree or equivalent and minimum of 13 years in the HR field
  • Experience supporting a manufacturing environment in HR role (union experience preferred)
