Level of Degree:
2nd year MSW student from an accredited program
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Basic knowledge of social work practices core competencies and ethics including knowledge about Cognitive Behavioral Therapy practices and intervention
Positive interpersonal skills
Effective time management skills
Ability to work independently
Ability to seek out and utilize supervision effectively
Prior clinical mental health experience preferred

Summary:
The internship in clinical School Social Work provides supervised experience in direct service and consultation for Bucks County students ages 814 placed at the Inspire partial hospitalization program (PHP) located at the Samuel Everitt School.
The experience provides the Social Work intern with direct supervision in both direct services to students as well as opportunities to network with supporting community agencies on behalf of students.
Essential Functions:
Treatment plan development
Individual and group therapy as related to each childs treatment plan goals
Complete daily progress notes and other necessary documentation
Parent education and support related to their childs mental health diagnosis and treatment goals
Group planning and development specific to the identified treatment goals of the student members
Cofacilitate family therapy sessions
Participate in treatment team meetings with program psychiatrist and clinical coordinator
Consultation with school and agency staff
Crisis intervention
Resource coordination
